Safeguarding Your Law Firm Against Cyber Threats
Length: 1 Hour

As lawyers expand their digital footprints, cybercriminals are increasingly targeting law firms, threatening both the privacy of clients’ sensitive information and firms’ reputations. As attorneys come to rely more on technology in their day-to-day practices, they inevitably create more entry points into their firms’ network infrastructure, providing criminals with direct gateways to their data. As trusted advisors and fiduciaries, lawyers regularly serve as stewards of their clients’ valuable and sensitive financial and personal information. That’s why it’s critical that firms maintain the security of this data in order to remain as trusted business partners to their clients.

With the scope and severity of cybercrimes rising, firms must act quickly to optimize their approach to cybersecurity. In this Continuing Legal Education course, presented by LEAP Legal Software, attendees will learn how to manage the cybersecurity risks affecting their firm’s business, including data breaches, the necessity of going beyond what’s required to operate effectively in today’s digital landscape, and ways that they can apply data security best practices to maintain good cyber hygiene at their firms. This free CLE will be led by Edward Keck Jr., Partner and Practice Leader of Withum’s Cyber and Information Security practice, and Bill Sansone, Partner and Practice Leader of Withum’s Law Firm Advisory team.

The program will benefit attorneys in private practice, particularly those tasked with maintaining their law firm’s information technology infrastructure. There is no cost to attend this event. CLE Credit is pending approval.
